Frites, Hong Kong

For those who needs a drink to go with their meal, here’s a recommendation. We visited a place serving european food and belgian beer in Central – Frites. The place has got a variety of draft beers and bottled beers. More imptly, they have Leffe Blonde on tap (something which is not commonly available on tap in SGP, or at least not at most of the plcs I’ve been to).

For starters we ordered a Steak Tartar. For mussels lovers, you can try their mussel pots cooked in variety of sauces. (see menu here). We tried the Hoegaarden (obviously cos we are attracted to the name?!) and Mariniere.

Of cos not forgetting Pork Knuckles and Frites  to go with our beers.

Actually I’m most impressed by their awesome Crème brûlée dessert! I loved the caramelised crispy top layer and the smooth & velvety texture (which explains the larger pix it deserves here…)

Nice cosy place which surprisingly wasn’t that crowded on a Sunday night. Its a gd plc to have decent food first b4 heading to Lan Kwai Fong nearby.
