Kam Gok Yuen, Vancouver

Vancouver has the second-largest Chinatown in North America (after San Francisco), so we reckoned that there would be nice roast duck (comparable to London’s Gold Mine or Four Seasons) available.

According to internet search Kam Gok Yuen was one of the tops in the city. Sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations. The roast duck was slightly dry, not juicy nor tender enough. We also ordered char siew, but the char siew had too much fatty parts and was not roasted to a crispy surface…

So we continue our search for best roast ducks around the world…
