After shifting to new office for close to 5 months, I finally got the chance to try out Tian Wai Tian Fish Head Steamboat (walking distance from my office). As they are only opened for dinner and as a Tze Char stall, its better to organise a group of friends so that we can enjoy larger variety of food.
Some of the friends in the group are regular customers who freqent this stall regularly, so they already had their favorite dish list here~
- Fish Steamboat – available in 2 options of either fried fish or non-fried fish. The soup is kept warm using heated charcoal in the “chute”
- Tofu with Prawns – a slightly spicy gravy laced with egg (akin to Chilli Crab sauce~). One of my favorite.
- Ngoh Hiang – crispy outer beancurd skin wrapping the minced seasoned prawn paste inside.
- Kang Kong with Cuttlefish – slightly spicy but nice chilli paste~
Other than the above we also tried their Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings and Fu Rong Omelette.
Service was pretty quick despite the coffeeshop being fully occupied.
However overall, I still prefer the 136 Hong Kong Street Fish Head Steamboat for their more flavoursome broth and Shrimp Paste Chicken.
