After a “not-so-satisfying” brunch, we stopped by Chef Icon to get some cakes (perhaps to make up for the earlier disappointment at another cafe).
Chef Icon is mainly a retail shop, not much seating capacity. So we packed back a Mango Hokkaido Roll and a Strawberry Hokkaido Roll.
The cream and fruits used were both very fresh. The fruits weren’t glazed with sugary syrup (which some patisserie does) hence weren’t artificially sweet.
I was so impressed by the hokkaido rolls that I look forward to trying their Chocolate Trovana, one of their signature cake in future. The thick and chocolately cake certainly looks tempting even from the picture alone.
