Ramen Matsuri

Dropped by North Canal road to explore the food options in the area. There had been quite a number of shophouses converted into eateries and bars along this road. Ramen Matsuri had taken over the shop space of Baikohken (who had opened another outlet at Takashimaya).

Luv their colourful painted walls with kawaii cartoons. Certainly brightens the tiny shop space.

Ramen Matsuri

Tried their Miso Tamago Ramen ($13) and Gyoza. The special ingredient of the ramen was the addition of wok-fried cabbages. The cabbages were stir-fried until there was a slight tinge of smokiness in them before adding the ramen soup. Generous splash of chopped spring onions and bean sprouts in them along with a slice of char-shu and a tamago.Portion wise wasn’t exactly huge. Ramen required had a slight bite in the centre.

Gyoza was slightly soggy.

Guess I won’t mind visiting them if I worked around the area, but not worth travelling here if just to try them out.
