This would be my first lunch deal during Restaurant Week, chose Taratata Bistrot as they are near my place and I’ve actually spotted them quite sometime ago but didn’t had the opportunity to visit them. As the small & cozy eatery was fully booked for dinner, I booked a lunch slot on Saturday to try their food.
Their RW lunch cost $25++ per pax for a 3-course menu. I wasn’t sure if complimentary bread was suppose to be served as I see some diners had bread while we weren’t offered any. As usual, we ordered different options of the starters and main to try all the dishes in the menu.
Half Dozen of Snail Baked in Herbed Garlic Butter or Seared Marinated Salmon with Black Pepper & Momotaro Tomato Salad with Basil Oil. The garlic butter was flavoursome and nicely done. I didn’t really enjoyed the salad, too much pepper.
Baked Sea Scallops with Mussels, Prawns, Mushroom & Cheese or Crispy Oven-Baked Pork Trotter with Mushrooms Fricassée. Seafood gratin was good as it was not too gelard and had succulent scallops. The pork didn’t looked appetising but certainly tasted much better than it looked, the meat had retained the right amount of moisture.
Dessert was Chocolate & Caramel Tart, Vanilla Ice Cream, freshly baked with thick chocolate lava flowing out. A great sweet ending.
A great eatery that I would consider visiting for dinner in future.
