Saw this Inforgraphic on Pairing Food & Wine Flavors, thought it would be a handy guide for folks who aren’t familiar with what wine to order at the restaurant so decided to lodge it here as well.

For those who want to make sure you pronounce the name right:

  • Cabernet Sauvignon (cab-er-nay so-vee-nyong)
  • Chablis (shab-lee)
  • Merlot (mer-low)
  • Pinot Grigio (peano grid-geo)
  • Pinot Noir (peano-nwah)
  • Riesling (reece-ling)
  • Rioja (ree-okka)
  • Sauvignon Blanc (so-vee-nyong blonk)
  • Semillon (semi-yong)
  • Shiraz (sheeraz)
  • Viognier (vee-ong-ee-ay)
  • Zinfandel (zin-van-del)
