Vida Vino is a hip & stylish wine place along Keong Saik street serving Spanish tapas .
Ordered a Sangria Republic and a glass of Canestruc Tinto – Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah / Catalunya to start our meal.
Spanish Tortilla Spanish potato egg “omelette” has always been one of my favourite Tapas dish. Its a simple yet delicious dish. The service staff recommended Bikini Iberico ham, Manchego cheese, black truffle cream as one of the popular dishes at the eatery so we went along with the suggestion. It was a nice sandwich toast which was better than the Chicken Skewer spiced with thyme and curry. I didn’t enjoy the chicken skewer and didn’t appreciate why it was served bruschetta style
Last 2 items tried were Pil Pil Prawns Prawns, olive oil, pimenton and Pulpo a la Gallega Grilled octopus, pimenton, olive oil. Pil Pil prawns is another common Spanish tapas dish, the dish was served in a sizzling hot casserole and was rather spicy but I felt that the prawns weren’t large & juicy enough. The octopus was prepared using similar ingredients as the prawns and I preferred the grilled version as it was less spicy and had just some paprika sprinkled over it.
The place had a nice conducive ambience for group gathering over some wine.
