Dropped by Symmetry Café for lunch and was surprised that the café was almost fully packed. Their business has a very good crowd for a location that has limited parking space and not surrounded by office buildings that provides potential supply of customers.
We were shown to the high table at the far end of the shophouse, actually it’s next to the corridor leading to the washroom. The other option was to sit at the bar counter. Menu was printed on an A3 paper, which initially I thought doubles up as a placemat…until the staff took it away after taking our order.
There were starters, sandwiches or some mains to choose from and I had the Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio along with a Hazelnut Flat White. We were surprised that even the Green Tea Latte comes with latte art.
I found the gravy of the Aglio Olio too creamy, kinda weird cos it’s supposed to be olive oil only right? P.S after we finished our meal, on my way out I saw another guy having the pasta too…I happened to look down while walking past and I saw his had a pool of olive oil at the bottom of his plate, unlike mine…Maybe there was some inconsistency in the pasta cooking…
The place seemed a bit dim for day time dining but understand that it’s a bar in the evening and it would be just fine for that purpose.
Felt that the meal was abit pricey…as we had all underestimated the cost when paying for our meal. Mine added up to ard $33 for the pasta and coffee. The prawns aren’t even those super juicy or large ones…
