Was on my way to another cafe nearby when we walked past Berjaya Hotel on Duxton road and were lured by Farm to Table Cafe.
The cafe is housed at the lobby of the boutique hotel, with a full length window panel overlooking the row of shophouses opposite, therefore the cafe was filled with ample natural daylight.
Menu comprised of a few categories: Breakfast, Soup and Salads, All Day Menu and Snacks.
Tried the Farmers Burger Grass fed beef patty on a sesame bun, maple bacon relish, cheddar, tomato, lettuce, farm to table signature mayonnaise with a side of hot potato fries (I upgraded to truffle fries). Liked the cheddar used for the burger and the maple bacon relish but find the beef patty slightly tough as it had quite a few bits of cartilage in it. Also liked the thick cut fries, though the truffle taste was slightly mild.
I was pretty impressed with the Farm Style Waffles Garnished with berries, maple cream and chocolate ice cream. The waffle was crispy on the outside, light and tender inside. Take time to smell the enticing aroma of the freshly made waffle before tucking into the delicious toppings.
Paired our meal with invigorating Lemonade and Iced Tea.
[Update in Jul 15]
The hotel is closed for refurbishment.
