Tom N Toms Coffee – a korean coffee chain has been in Icon Village for donkey years and I’ve never had the chance to visit them till now. Most of the time the place is filled with student studying in the ultra-freezing cold place, evidence from the condensation on the glass of the unit. Due to the hot weather, we decided to drop by to enjoy a Green Tea Bingsu after our dinner nearby.
I think since it’s primarily a coffee chain, Bingsu must be an added feature after the dessert gained popularity in Singapore recently. Hence I didn’t have high expectations for their version. They were pretty generous with the ingredients such as red bean and almond slices and I loved the mochi. However I left more than 50% of the shaved iced uneaten. Overall it tasted really like our Ice Kachang. Despite the less than ideal Bingsu experience, I wouldn’t mind trying out the other famous Bingsu stalls in Singapore, esp if there’s Mango Bingsu~
