Choo Choo Chicken

Suddenly felt that we hadn’t been venturing further for lunch after being constrained to Jalan Besar area due to work exigencies. Finally managed to have a breather and went to try out Choo Choo Chicken.

The Bali Lane outlet appeared rather like a small start-up business. With such limited seating capacity, I do wonder how they managed to survive if they had purely relied on the lunch-time crowd near the Beach road area. Nonetheless their quality fried chicken must have garnered sufficient loyal supporters so much so that they have opened their 2nd outlet~I think this original outlet of Choo Choo Chicken is pretty different in terms of vibes and ambience compared to their latest outlet in Cineleisure Orchard.

Other than the tasty freshly fried chicken, the prime feature of Choo Choo Chicken had to be the Nori Rice. I absolutely enjoyed the nutritious seaweed added to the supple and chewy rice grains used. Unlike other Korean restaurants where most dishes are so huge that its better to go in larger groups, the individual portioned fried chicken rice (lunch set) here is just nice for me. Sometimes I do get overwhelmed when faced with a dozen pieces of chicken.

A simple but satisfying meal =)
