Tatsu Sushi and Teppanyaki

Stopped by HIC Juice at Raffles City earlier to get a bottle of Nut Milk since it seems to be one of the popular flavours from them. Comprising of Cashew, Almond, Vanilla, Medjool Date, Himalayan Salt, Cinnamon and Ionized Water, the texture felt like milkshake with bits of nuts but it’s flavour was dominated by Cinnamon taste. Oddly although it was only 250ml of liquid, I felt rather full and chose to go for a light dinner.

Hopped over to Chijmes to look for dinner options and decided on Tatsu Sushi and Teppanyaki. Started well with a healthy Omakase Sashimi for 1 pax, which has 6-7 items. It comprised of a good variety of fish, molluscs and crustacean. Somehow the staff didn’t explain to us what they were, luckily we aren’t picky eaters on sashimis.

For main I chose the tantalising Aburi Sushi 5 pieces seared sushi and 1 roll as main. It was a beauty! Look at the nice grill patterns on the aburi sushi and the bright mayo on spicy tuna roll.

Although the sushi was quite well-done, Tatsu teppanyaki seems to be more popular with guests. The teppan section was full when we visited them, and they had fixed seating times for the teppan. Seems like a return to try their teppanyaki is on my cards soon.
