What can you do when you missed the last slot for massage at 11pm? Head to one of the many rooftop bars in Bangkok like we did~
Although it was a cloudy night, at least it wasn’t pouring and we still managed to enjoy a drink at The Speakeasy rooftop bar. Even if it did rained, we would be in safe hands as they had set up a retractable roof as shelter. The lawn at the rooftop was pretty spacious and a nice relaxing feel, although the view was not as photogenic as the ones near Chao Phraya river.
I’ve been to the Sky Bar at Lebua Towers, featured prominently in the movie The Hangover and it was more like a tourist spot. Perched on the 63rd floor, the golden grand dome was spectacular and the view was breathtaking. Its a wonderful spot to take selfies/instagrams and provides a bird’s eye view of the city. So depending on what type of ambience you are looking for in a rooftop bar, with the huge number of options in BKK, there will be one that suit you.
As part of our stay package, we also had drinks at the Le Salon (on level 1) whereby cheese, canapes and drinks were served daily from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. It was a nice time to rest our tired feet and enjoy a drink before getting ready for dinner.
