Was pretty happy to get a lunch reservation at Sky on 57 during Restaurant Week especially when it’s on a public holiday. This is a rare chance for me to enjoy lunch on top of MBS building without having to take leave.
Weather wasn’t at the best on the day of my visit, it seems rather hazy…
A welcoming entrance on Level 57 of MBS. For Restaurant Week they offered a 3-course lunch at $40++ per pax. Freshly baked warm bread were served along with 2 types of butter. We also ordered some cocktails – Sky Sling and Strait Sling to enjoy our lunch with the nice city skyline view.
Starter was “Soft Hearted” Crispy Egg Sauteed wild mushrooms, house made “Rillons” of Iberico pork Potato espuma. The egg was coated with a thin golden brown crust on the outside but was runny in the inside. Great execution.
Main course was Loch Fyne Scottish Salmon Pan roasted, cauliflower textures Roasted hazelnut in its oil and aged balsamic vinegar. The salmon had crispy skin and moist flesh. Especially enjoyed the earthy roasted hazelnut with the sweet yet mildly sourish taste of balsamic vinegar combination.
Dessert was Roasted Peach Caramelised filo pastry, “creme de peche” Chantilly Lemon Verbena.
With the good food and wonderful skyline, this is definitely one of my best Restaurant Week experience ever.
