EXPLORATIONS 2018 must be the most expensive capsule series I’ve bought from Nespresso.
The package priced at S$98 comes with a pair of tasting cups along with 4 sleeves of limited edition capsules.
There wasn’t any indication of the intensity levels printed on the sleeves. But a profile sheet was available.
My least favoured capsule amongst them was the India Mylemoney. The deep toasted flavour left a trail of bitterness on the palate.
Nicaragua Las Marias had sweet and mellow profile. Easy drinking.
Republica Dominicana Valle Del Cibao rated high in acidity, presents a smooth and dry but light body profile. A good all-rounder but lacking in character.
Galapagos Santa Cruz is my favourite for its gentle roastiness that lingers on the palate.
